Bridesmaid dresses run small

Bridesmaid dress sizes run small compared to regular ready wear clothing. It is not uncommon to measure for a size or two larger than your every day sizing. Every designer has a different size chart so don’t choose size based on a dress size that you may have worn in another wedding.

Style Matters

Style can also be a factor. In a straight dress, the hips are an important factor. In contrast, in an a-line dress, the hips aren’t as important. Also, is there any stretch to the dress?
