My consultant: I was lucky enough to have the amazing Gina as my bridal consultant at Precious Memories. Gina made me feel very comfortable in a possibly very uncomfortable and unfamiliar environment. With her help, I was able to try on all of the gowns that I wanted to, and then she picked out a few that she thought I’d like. She was great at keeping my budget in mind, and she ended up choosing my dream dress! Without her assistance, I would never have picked that gown off the rack! After I’d purchased the dress, Gina allowed me to keep it at the shop so that my future husband wouldn’t see it accidentally. She made it very easy for me to come in, see the gown and try it on along the way as I was adding accessories to finish my wedding day look! I purchased my stunning veil from the shop as well, and it looked perfect with my gown.

[row]Blair and I had wanted to go to Top of the Hub in Boston for a while, and I received a gift card from his parents for my birthday. I tend to be tough to surprise, so Blair asked me to make a reservation for dinner on my open table app… very smart on his part! We got all dressed up and were so excited to have a fancy dinner overlooking Boston with a beautiful view! We had a table right next to a window where we watched the sun set over dinner and a few glasses of our favorite red wine. After dinner, we shared a delicious dessert, and I turned around to look out over the breathtaking skyline one last time before we left. As per usual, I, very romantically, said “I’m so full I think I’m going to get sick!”, just as Blair was getting down on his knee to surprise me with a proposal. As I turned back around, I saw him knelt beside me opening a beautiful ring box. Before I said yes, I remember laughing and crying with my hands to my face, because in such a beautiful moment, Blair was holding the ring box upside down! Once he noticed, he turned it back around and started laughing too, and slipped my new ring onto my finger in a fit of laughter and happy tears. Our waitress brought us champagne to toast and we were congratulated with a round of applause from everyone at the restaurant. In the moment, I was shocked and speechless, but our amazing waitress grabbed my phone and took some amazing pictures that we will always cherish. To be taken by such surprise by the person who means the most to you in the world is such a beautifully surreal feeling, and still is one of my best and favorite memories.

[row]The gown I knew it was the one when After going to three other bridal shops and truly trying on every style of gown, I had really enjoyed the experiences and found some contenders, but hadn’t had that “this is the dress” moment. Precious Memories was the last shop we visited, and I tried on many different dresses, some that I’d picked out and some that my bridesmaids had chosen. There were a few I really liked, but it wasn’t until my bridal consultant, Gina, brought over this stunning Maggie Sottero gown, and told me just to “try it on”, that I had that special moment. The gown incorporated all of the features that I had loved about the other dresses I’d tried on, but all together in one gorgeous gown! As soon as Gina laced up the soft blush corset back, I could feel my eyes welling up with happy tears, and I felt the most beautiful that I have felt in my whole life! The front was dazzling with lace and sparkly crystals over a sweetheart neckline, and the back featured a corset closure that hugged my curves so perfectly. Gina added buttons down the length of the gown, which was the perfect finishing touch. I remember walking out to my family and friends waiting to see me in yet another gown, and all of them were looking back at me with huge smiles and tear-filled eyes. They knew that this one was “the one” as well! I felt like a princess on my wedding day, and I will always cherish this beautiful gown I am lucky enough to call mine!

[/row][row]My Favorite part of my wedding was: Our special night ran so smoothly thanks to the amazing team of coordinators at our venue, and we were able to focus on ourselves and our guests, and just enjoy the night! The ceremony was outside in front of a classic white gazebo, where Blair’s father married us in front of the most important people in our lives! Our reception took place in a warm, inviting barn venue with gorgeous beams and woodwork, and it just felt so comfortable. We decorated simply with rose gold and hints of cobalt blue to match our wedding party. Being introduced as the new Mr. and Mrs., and having our first dance to “Then” by Brad Paisley, were such special moments and are my favorite memory of our wedding night! We had delicious meals, cut a beautiful two-tier cake topped with a personalized clay figurine, and danced the night away! At the end of the night, we had an amazing last dance encircled by all of our guests, who then shared in a sparkler sendoff at midnight! Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives!

Advice for Future Brides
Enjoy every moment of wedding planning and HAVE FUN!!! Our wedding was the actual BEST day of my life, and all of the little details are great, but don’t matter as much as having your future spouse, family and friends all together in one place to celebrate you! Don’t stress out about things that won’t matter once the wedding is over. Dance alone for your full first dance song – you will never dance like this again, and having your family and friends surrounding you is a surreal and very special memory. And don’t forget to take a few seconds to pause before walking down the aisle, so you’ll always have a mental image of your fiancé waiting for you! This day will only happen once and goes by so quickly… take the time to soak it all in and most importantly, have fun!
